CCH Health & Wellness Guidelines
In an effort to minimize the spread of contagious illness, sick members who experience any of the following symptoms within 24 hours of a CCH event must not attend that event. Members who develop symptoms during a CCH event must leave immediately. Family members who are healthy and symptom-free may participate in CCH activities.
-
Fever: Fever is defined as having a temperature of 99.4°F or higher taken under the arm, 100.4°F taken orally. A member must be fever-free, without any fever-reducing medications, for at least 24 hours before returning to CCH.
-
Sore throat, colored mucus, vomiting, diarrhea, earache, irritability, breathing trouble, swollen glands, loss of voice, or continuous coughing.
-
Frequent scratching of the body or scalp or any other spots/rashes that resemble childhood diseases, including lice and ringworm.
-
Members under the care of a physician for a particular illness should follow the physician’s recommendations regarding their safe return to CCH activities.
If in doubt, use the “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” principle. (Would you want someone with your symptoms visiting your house?).
Members with symptoms related to chronic or seasonal non-contagious conditions (i.e. allergy-related respiratory issues, asthma, autoimmune disease, etc.) may attend CCH events according to their own discretion.
