2026-27 CCH Fee Schedule and Subgroups, Clubs & Activities Listing

Fee schedule and Subgroup, Club & Activity descriptions for Community Christian Homeschoolers, Inc. are as follows. Subgroup listing is available now, Clubs & Activities- coming soon!

Base Dues: $100 per family, per year
This membership fee allows students to participate in group-wide field trips and meetings as well as sign up for Subgroups, Clubs, and Activities.

**All website payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.

 




2026-27 SUBGROUPS




Cheetahs - FULL

Fee: $5 per child over 2
Topic: Get together and make new friends!
Meeting frequency: Most Thursdays
Ages: 2nd - 5th. Families must have at least one child in grades 2-5 to join Cheetahs. Siblings of that child are also part of the subgroup

The primary focus of Cheetahs is relationship building, among parents and children. Whether it’s conversation about coffee or curricula, using markers to decorate rocks, learning to bike and scooter, swimming together, enjoying holidays as a group, or collecting branches and flowers in a park.


Cooking Foundations & Kitchen Confidence

Fee:  
$50 per student
Topic: Essential kitchen skills and practical cooking knowledge
Meeting Frequency: Two Tuesdays per month, Oct-April
Ages: 9th - 12th Grade (Must be 14 by the time class begins.)

Cooking Foundations & Kitchen Confidence is a hands-on, technique-driven culinary course designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to cook safely, confidently, and independently. This class emphasizes foundational methods, budget-friendly cooking, and the mastery of “key recipes” that students can adapt for life.


Field Trips

Fee: varies depending on the field trip
Topic: Varies for each field trip
Meeting frequency: 1-2x/month
Ages: K - 12th

Field trips are a great opportunity to get outside of your home and discover what Gainesville and the surrounding area has to offer your family in terms of education and fun! You will learn things you may never think to cover in your classroom, and your kids will enjoy a direct, hands-on learning experience.


General Membership 

Fee: None
Topic: CCH-wide activities, à la carte for those not enrolled in another subgroup
Meeting frequency: n/a
Ages: K- 12th

**If you are NOT enrolled in another subgroup, then this is the group for you!

This group is eligible to participate in any and all CCH-wide activities (such as Science Fair, Book Bowl, Storybook Extravaganza, large-group field trips, meet-ups & park days, and moms’ nights out), as well as participate in any subgroup field trips that are extended to all CCH membership.


High School Social & Service

Fee: $5 per student, there may be an additional cost for activities
Topic: Social and service opportunities for high school students
Meeting frequency: Approximately 2x/month
Ages: 9th - 12th grade (14 years old and up by Sept. 1. Exceptions to the age requirement will be made by subgroup leaders on a case-by-case basis.)

The goal of this student-led group is to provide CCH high school aged students opportunities for social events and service projects.


Middle School Hangout

Fee: $10 per student, there may be an additional cost for activities
Topic: Social and service opportunities for middle school students
Meeting frequency: Approximately 1x/month
Ages: 6th - 8th grade (must be 11+ years old by Sept. 1. Exceptions to the age requirement will be made by subgroup leaders on a case-by-case basis.)

Middle School Hangout is a place for 6th-8th graders to socialize with other students their age.


Research Methods

Fee: $50 per student
Topic: Introduces students to the foundations of research
Meeting frequency: 2 Thursdays a month
Ages: 7th - 12th grade

This course introduces students to the foundations of research: asking good questions, finding reliable information, taking organized notes, evaluating sources, conducting simple experiments or investigations, and presenting findings. Students learn to think critically, work independently, and communicate clearly.


Seekers Academic Subgroup - Limited space available


Fee: $30-$50 per class for each elementary/middle school class, and $60-$70 for each high school class
Topic: Science, History, Geography, Writing, and other Electives
Meeting frequency: Elem/Middle: Second and Fourth Wednesdays; High School: Every Wednesday (September through May)
Ages: K - 11th grade, child care provided for younger siblings

Seekers Subgroup is an academic, parent-taught co-op providing interactive learning opportunities to support a variety of academic and elective courses for kindergarten through high school.




CLUBS




Gators Sports Club

Fee: No Club fee, families may need to purchase tickets to some events
Grades: K - 12th
Meeting schedule: Varies

 

Do you love Gator Sports? If so, this is the club for you! Cheer on our Gators throughout the year at various games and meets including: basketball, softball, lacrosse, baseball, swimming, gymnastics and others.


Global Explorers Club

Fee: COMING SOON
Grades: K - 8th 
Meeting schedule: 1x/month

In this club, participants will explore a new country each month through hands-on activities, cultural experiences, geography, history, and cuisine.


Kids Play Club

Fee: None
Grades: K - 5th
Meeting schedule: 1-2 Fridays a month

Spend time with other believers at local parks in a casual environment where moms and kids will have the opportunity to make friends and support each other during the homeschool journey.


Nature Explorers Club

Fee: No Club fee, families will pay admission fees, if needed, directly at parks or preserves
Grades: K - 5th
Meeting schedule: One Tuesday a month

 

Nature Explorers is a monthly nature study group for homeschool families. The goal is simple: time outside, genuine curiosity about the natural world, and the kind of community that builds when families spend unhurried time together in the same place regularly.


PE Club

Fee: COMING SOON
Grades: K - 8th
Meeting schedule: Two Fridays a month

PE Club allows students to come together to play a variety of sports and physical fitness activities, learning new skills, and how to work as a team.


Stories and Sewing Club

Fee: COMING SOON
Grades: 1st - 5th
Meeting schedule: Two Tuesdays a month

Learn basic sewing, embroidery, and mending techniques while listening to read-alouds and telling our own tales.


Yearbook Club

Fee: None
Grades: 9th - 12th
Meeting schedule: Will meet as needed throughout the school year

CCH Yearbook Club is responsible for collecting photos from all CCH events throughout the year and creating a yearbook. The students will be assigned sections of the yearbook to design.


2027 Senior Class Club

Fee: COMING SOON
Grades: 12th
Meeting schedule: Varies

The 2027 Senior Class Club offers opportunities to celebrate with other seniors throughout the year.




ACTIVITIES




Book Bowl

Fee: COMING SOON

Grades: K-12th

Participants read a list of age-appropriate books and answer questions from the books in a competitive team atmosphere.


Field Day

Grades: K-12th

Field Day allows students to participate in friendly team competitions in a variety of outdoor sporting events.


High School Senior Recognition Ceremony and Spring Formal

Fee: COMING SOON

Grades: 9th-12th

This activity allows high schoolers to recognize their graduating peers and celebrate the school year together.


Literature Fair

Fee: COMING SOON

Grades: 6th-12th

6th & 7th Graders- Participants will choose a book to read, create a display board, and write a book report! At the event, "judges" will conduct an interview with each student about their book.

8th through 12th Graders- Participants will choose a book to read, create a display board,  write a book report, and write a research report related to a topic within their book. At the event, "judges" will conduct an interview with each student about their book.


Living History Museum

Fee: COMING SOON

Grades: 3rd-8th

Participants choose a historical figure to research and present a display with their findings as well as dress up like the person.


Science Fair

Fee: COMING SOON

Grades: K-12th

Participants will design a science experiment of their choice and create a display board to showcase what they studied and discovered.


Storybook Extravaganza

Fee: COMING SOON

Grades: K-5th

Participants read a book of their choice and present a display with literary and informational elements from their book as well as dress up as a character.
