Large Group Meeting: June 2nd (see below)

Community Christian Homeschoolers is a Christian support group serving families in Alachua and surrounding counties offering fellowship, support, and encouragement for parents: park days, field trips and other activities for their children. CCH began in 1985 with just a handful of families and has now grown to over approximately 70-75 member families. The large group meets two times each year for re-registration and an Information Fair.  Our large group is broken down into sub-groups of 5-10 families each to enable parents and children to get acquainted more easily, go on field trips and participate in other academic activities. The organization is simple: volunteer officers and sub-group leaders serve on a steering committee to guide the large group. Members volunteer to help plan activities and events

Membership is based on:

1.    agreement with the Statement of Faith

2.    agreement with our Purpose for Home Schooling and Goals

3.    compliance with the Legal Status of Home Schooling in Florida.

4.    recommendation by a family already established (one or more years) in CCH's support group
        AND/OR
recommendation through an interview by the Prospective Member Liaison and/or the President.

CCH encourages members to be actively involved and committed.  This will enable the family to benefit from the support group.

If you have further questions, please call Tammi Curtis, Prospective Member Liaison at (386) 462-2716 or e-mail tammirack@juno.com

Large Group Meeting

The CCH Spring Large Group Meeting date has been changed from May 5th to June 2nd, Monday evening, 6:00 p.m., at Creekside Community Church.  Please mark your calendars.  You won't want to miss this event.  Our theme for the evening is the CCH Yearbook.  We have games, a scavenger hunt, and prizes planned for the evening.

Pizza will be available for a nominal fee.  In addition, the Yearbook Club will once again host the t-shirt contest.  Design information will be listed in the next newsletter.  Please plan to bring your entire family if you desire.

This is the best time for you to re-enroll.  Additional fees are charged after the 5th of May.  In addition, this event is a good time to include families who may want to consider joining our organization.

We look forward to seeing you then.  Please contact your subgroup leader if you have any questions.
